ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL:

If your child is absent or late for any reason please let the school office know as soon as possible by the following options:
  • telephone 308 5299 (leave a message)
  • Flexibuzz (phone app)
  • email the school office

In all instances, please state the reason for your child's absence as this is a Ministry of Education requirement.

For safety reasons the school operates a checking system where all absences are checked  and if no explanation has been received by 9.30 a.m. the parents/caregiver will be contacted.  This is to ensure the safety of your child/children.

Punctuality is regarded as important in school routines as late arrival disrupts children’s learning. All children who arrive after the bell has rung must report to the office and sign in.

Absence for an extended period
If students are to be absent during the term for an extended period for any reason, please advise the school office by writing or email.  The office will notify the Principal and class teacher.
